What People Say About Us

Good afternoon,
This morning I watched the Remembrance Parade held at the War Memorial in the High Street.
It is the first time I have seen a contingent from any of the local schools, and I was very impressed.
The children (and staff) were very well behaved, and a credit to the School, a good representation for Glastonbury.
Well done!  And Thank You to everyone."

Arthur Sansam, Member of the community

"I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how impressed I was with the carol concert.  Both the ingenuity of the teaching staff in coming up with such a clever new way of telling the story of the Nativity and also the children's amazing stories, I thought the writing was outstanding.  You and the staff at St Benedict's have created a really special learning environment which the children are clearly thriving in, you can tell that from the sea of happy faces I was surrounded by that day but also from the way they are able to express themselves."

Maxine, Drama Teacher

"What a pleasure your year 6's are.  They are a lovely group, the best school we have visited so far.  The children had a lovely, polite manner, they looked after each other and generally were lovely to meet and chat with."

NHS Nurses

"A safe and welcoming school with committed teachers.  Led by an enthusiastic and engaged headteacher.  Lots of opportunities for children to develop sports/art interests in after school clubs and available in music lessons."

Year 5 parent

"The school always has a welcoming feeling with staff that are visible, easy to approach and positive.  There's an abundance of interesting trips organised for the children, which shows the variety of topics covered in the curriculum.  The range and availability of free after school clubs is exceptional and demonstrates the commitment and hard work of the staff."

Year 4 parent

"Staff are very approachable.  My daughter loves going to St Ben's."

Year 4 parent

"St Benedict's is a fantastic school!  It's friendly, inclusive and has an amazing ethos.  The headteacher and staff team are enthusiastic, 100% committed to both high standards of education and children's welfare.

I couldn't recommend St Ben's enough!!"

Year 4 parent

"A welcoming, creative and safe environment for our children to learn and grow in."

Year 5 parent

"St Ben's has been a safe and happy learning environment for my daughter."

Year 6 parent

"Since my daughter started, she's now in year 4, her confidence has grown immensely.  She gets involved in the topics and loves all the extended work that goes along side these topics, eg, trips out, by coach or just to the Abbey.

She has found swimming in year 4 fabulous and it's a shame it has now stopped."

Year 4 parent

"I feel I can trust the teachers at St Ben's to look after my daughters' wellbeing and strengthen has confidence - while providing education."
