Welcome to Leopard Class - Year 6

Welcome to Leopard Class

Mr Kelland – Class Teacher

Welcome to Leopard Class!

I am delighted to be the teacher of Leopard Class and a proud member of the St Benedict’s team. Year 6 is an exciting and important year, filled with opportunities for children to develop their confidence, independence and leadership skills as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

Leopard Class is a vibrant, enthusiastic and supportive community of learners. We work hard, encourage one another and celebrate every success along the way. Whether mastering a challenging concept, completing a project or achieving a personal goal, we take pride in recognising and applauding each other’s achievements.

One of the highlights of Year 6 is our London residential. This memorable experience includes visits to some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, a museum trip, a tour of Parliament and a meal on the South Bank. Throughout the year, pupils also enjoy a range of exciting opportunities, including author visits, educational trips, special events and our much-anticipated Year 6 production.

Teaching Assistants

Mrs Hopkins and Mrs Varney are the Teaching Assistants in Leopard Class. They play an invaluable role in supporting and encouraging our pupils, helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Staying Connected

For more information about what your child will be learning this year, please explore our curriculum maps below.

Throughout the year, I will regularly share updates, celebrations and important information via ClassDojo. This is a fantastic way to stay connected with everything we are learning and enjoying in Leopard Class.

We look forward to a wonderful year of learning, achievement and unforgettable experiences together. 🐆
