Welcome to St Benedict's

Welcome to St. Benedict’s Church of England Voluntary Aided Junior School.

Our namesake, St Benedict, was famed for his hospitality and sense of community, and we aim to follow in his footsteps by offering all who set foot through our doors a warm welcome.

At St. Ben's, we take pride in every child experiencing "Life in all its fullness," (John 10:10) and our intent is to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on outdoor learning, sport, the arts and performance.  Alongside this, we have a wonderful nurturing ethos and aim to support the needs of all children.  Our pupils enjoy their topic-based learning which links to local topics such as festivals and carnival.  Our curriculum and wider school opportunities are underpinned by our school values, Community, Kindness and Resilience and we encourage all pupils and staff to live these values.

We want our community to be proud of their local school and we enjoy links with many local places and people, from St. Benedict's Church, Burns the Bread, The Wells Festival of Literature, the Abbey and Care Home, to the Police and local sports clubs.

Please browse this website to find out more about our school and click on the 'Curriculum' menu to take a look at each year group's learning.  Then why not check out our fabulous newsletters to see what we've been up to!  Please also see our PTFA Facebook page.  To find out more about our values and ethos, please click on the 'Church School' tab.

We look forward to seeing you soon at St. Benedict’s.
