St.Benedict’s School Hymn

 

O cleanse me Lord, I pray thee,

That so my heart may grow

As pure as is the lily,

And whiter than the snow.

Send down Thy holy spirit

Into this heart of mine,

To fit me and prepare me

For that bright home of Thine.

 

Take from me all that hinders

My heart from being Thy throne,

That so my love may centre

On Thee and Thee alone.

Each day as I grow older,

O make me more like Thee,

Until, in Thy glad presence,

Thy glorious face I see.
