School Council
Our School Council comprises two pupils from each class. School Council meetings happen monthly and are run by the Headteacher, Mr Ranger, with the agenda determined by topical themes. The aim is for the School Councillors to represent their class and to have their say at meetings, taking back any information to share with their class.
Pupil Voice is important to us and the School Council is a way of making sure that pupils are heard when it comes to making decisions.
Recent topics for discussion have been how we can be more eco-friendly, making the playground safer, ideas for fund-raising events and what should the disco theme be. They even got to design the skin for our Book Vending Machine! Last year, the School Council helped to recruit staff and even the new vicar; they were also part of the panel that judged the designs for our revamped Quiet Area. Next year, they will be involved in helping to reimagine our School Library.
