Welcome to Owl Class - Year 4

Helloooooo from Owl Class!

Who’s whoooo!

Hello! I am Ms Bradshaw and I am thrilled to teach at St Benedict’s School. I grew up in and around Street and know Glastonbury well; my mum taught at St Benedict's and my sister even attended St Benedict’s many years ago, so I guess I am following in my family's footsteps!

I really enjoy teaching all subjects; particularly everything creative and I have a great love of the outdoors and really enjoy taking our learning outside.

My great passion is in computing, I have taught computing for many years, even before I trained as a teacher, so you will often see us thinking about computing and maths in everyday life, thinking about those magic real moments where education comes to life.

Mrs Lock assists us in class and as a fantastic organiser is helping individual children within the class, running intervention groups as well as being there to listen to any problems the children have.

In Owl Class this year, we have a super “parliament” of owls who “Think a lot” and are not “Afraid of the dark”. They are amazing learners with lots of knowledge and skills! They are very creative; we are developing our independence and learning to be resilient when things are tricky!

This year we will be continuing our journey through history from the Iron Age to the Normans! You can rely on the staff to create some exciting, hands on activities for young owls to explore and understand our past.

We also have a strong focus on the environment, through science and geography, and will get outside and hopefully out and about to investigate the area we live in and our natural world

In Year 4 we will be learning all our times tables, learning fun songs and games to help us.

In English, we are really focusing on developing our reading skills. We love to read and will be sharing a wide range of texts and tales as we develop our literacy skills.

I am always available to contact on Class Dojo, so feel free to message me there and I will try to reply as quickly as possible.
